India, July 25 -- US President Donald Trump on Friday warned that the United States could impose tariffs on the European Union and launch a formal trade investigation after the European Commission fined Google $1 billion for breaching the bloc's digital competition rules. In a post shared on his Truth Social platform, Trump strongly criticised the European Union, accusing it of unfairly targeting American businesses. He said the bloc would face serious consequences for what he described as unfair treatment of US companies.
