Nigeria, Sept. 8 -- The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Mining Marshals have intensified nationwide enforcement operations as part of renewed efforts to sanitise the country's solid minerals sector and ensure strict compliance with mining regulations.

The specialised enforcement unit said its teams, particularly those operating in the South-West, have recorded significant progress in tackling violations and ensuring that mining activities are conducted within the framework of existing laws.
