Nigeria, Feb. 21 -- The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has issued a clarification following a social media complaint by an X user, @chupatric, who alleged he was detained at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) for using a GoPro camera to document his travels.
In a post shared online, the passenger wrote: "@mikeachimugu01 Good morning sir, please I have a question. At MMIA was detained by AVSEC cos of my gopro which I use to document my travels on my YouTube page. I was taken to the office downstairs, showed them video on my gallery was personal shots, can't we make personal video?"
The post generated reactions from other users, with many questioning airport policies on personal recordings.
