Bangladesh, July 24 -- Southeast University (SEU) on Thursday celebrated "World Poetry Day 2026" through a colourful programme organised jointly by its School of Arts and Social Sciences and Writers Web Bangladesh at the university's Tejgaon campus.Maps

Liberation War Affairs Minister Ahmed Azam Khan attended the event as the chief guest, while SEU Board of Trustees Chairman Rezaul Karim was present as special guest.

The programme was chaired by SEU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Yousuf Mahbubul Islam. In his speech, Ahmed Azam Khan urged young people to be inspired by the spirit of the Liberation War and work for the country's development.
