Bangladesh, Sept. 15 -- President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will visit Sylhet on Tuesday, September 15, for nine hours, marking his first visit to the city since taking office as the country's 23rd President.

During the visit, he will visit the shrines of two saints in Sylhet and attend a civic reception organised by Sylhet City Corporation (SCC) in his honour.

Preparations for the President's visit are almost complete across the city, with strict security measures put in place.

According to the schedule from the President's Office, the President will arrive at Sylhet Osmani International Airport from Dhaka by air at 11:15am on Tuesday. He will then go directly to Sylhet Circuit House, where he will rest for some time.
