Bangladesh, March 9 -- To conserve electricity, all universities in the country have been ordered to close from today, ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Ministry of Education issued the directive on Sunday.
The notice stated that, in light of the global energy crisis, it is essential to save electricity and fuel nationwide.
Accordingly, all public and private universities will remain closed from 9 March until the dates originally scheduled for Eid.
