Bangladesh, Oct. 22 -- The primary religious festival of the Hindu community, Sharadiya Durga Puja, concluded with great grandeur and solemn religious rituals through the immersion of idols amidst a solemn atmosphere.

At the moment of immersion, devotees bade farewell to Mother Durga with tearful eyes, offering prayers for her joyful return next year.

This year, under the special directives of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and the direct supervision and coordinated planning of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md. Ali Hossain Fakir, Durga Puja was celebrated in a seamless and secure environment across 33,851 puja mandaps nationwide without any untoward incidents.
