India, Feb. 28 -- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday congratulated the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team for winning the Ranji Trophy, with the chief minister announcing a cash reward of 2 crore for the players and support staff.
Describing the victory as the Union Territory's "finest hour", Sinha lauded the team's grit and determination in scripting history.
"J&K's finest hour has arrived. Emotions beyond words as our cricket team claims the Ranji Trophy. To every player who carved history through sheer grit - thank you from the entire UT. You have immortalised history; embrace it with honour," the Lieutenant Governor said in a post on X.
