Fresh Snowfall Blankets Gurez as Rain Lashes Kashmir
India, Sept. 17 -- Srinagar- Fresh snowfall was recorded at Kabul Gali in north Kashmir's Gurez Valley on Thursday as widespread rainfall lashed Kashmir, with several areas in south Kashmir receiving heavy showers, officials said.
Srinagar recorded 8.2 mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours, while Qazigund, Pahalgam and Gulmarg received 13.4 mm, 13 mm and 13.2 mm, respectively, according to officials, as per news agency KNO.
Heavy rainfall was also reported from parts of the Jammu division. Udhampur received 117.8 mm of rainfall, followed by Jammu with 112.9 mm and Katra with 45.2 mm during the same period.
