The exam, held on May 3, 2026, for over 2.27 million aspirants seeking admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses, was cancelled on May 12 following investigations that revealed significant overlaps between a pre-circulated "guess paper" and the actual question paper. The probe led to the arrest of several people, including individuals linked to the NTA.
