Omar writes to Mann over livestock transit charges row
India, June 30 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has written to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, seeking his intervention to stop the alleged unauthorised collection of fees from livestock transport vehicles passing through Punjab and to ensure the smooth movement of consignments bound for Jammu and Kashmir.
In his letter, Omar Abdullah said the issue had been brought to his attention by the All Kashmir Wholesale Mutton Dealers Union, which has raised concerns over the difficulties faced by livestock traders and transporters during transit through Punjab.
