India, June 8 -- The massive fallout from the cancelled NEET-UG 2026 exam has reached a critical judicial boiling point. The Supreme Court of India sharply rebuked the National Testing Agency (NTA) for its persistent inability to secure the country's premier medical entrance test, issuing formal notices to the Centre, the NTA, and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
As if the NEET imbroglio was not enough, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) finds itself in the crosshairs of a parliamentary investigation and independent technical oversight following intense scrutiny over its newly introduced digital answer sheet evaluation framework affecting over 18 lakh Class 12 students.
