Army, admin team up to push North Kashmir border tourism
India, June 8 -- The Indian Army, in collaboration with the district administration Kupwara, has launched a major initiative to promote tourism in North Kashmir's border areas, projecting destinations such as Keran, Machhal, Karnah, Tangdhar, Gurez and Bangus Valley as emerging tourist hotspots.
The initiative was unveiled during a tourism promotion event in Kupwara where an online tourism portal, Shumali Kashmir, and a comprehensive North Kashmir Tourism Magazine were released. Developed by the Army, the platforms aim to showcase the region's scenic beauty, cultural heritage and adventure tourism potential while generating livelihood opportunities for local communities.
