SriLanka, Feb. 22 -- The United States (US) Supreme Court ruling overturning tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump under the the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), has restored competitiveness among countries to a more level footing, with no nation receiving special advantages, Deputy Finance Minister Dr. Anil Jayantha Fernando said yesterday.
"This decision provides greater leeway for exporters to access international markets and compete more freely on quality and efficiency," Deputy Minister Dr. Fernando told the Sunday Observer, responding to queries on whether Sri Lanka could expect any immediate benefits for its exports to the United States.
