Hanoi, Oct. 6 -- According to the East Asia and Pacific Economic Update released by the World Bank on October 6, several economies in the region are growing faster than expected, thanks to their manufacturing and exports of products that underpin AI-related activities worldwide.
Viet Nam is among the economies benefiting from the AI wave, with GDP growth forecast at 7.4 percent, the highest in the region. The forecast is 1.1 percentage points higher than the World Bank's projection in April, when many countries in the region were affected by an energy crisis linked to the conflict in the Middle East.
