Hanoi, April 9 -- The program aims to develop a group of exemplary and pioneering enterprises in the private sector featuring high labor productivity and strong technological capabilities, regional and international competitiveness, and social responsibility.

It also targets to establish core enterprises in key industries and sectors, thereby contributing to enhancing national competitiveness, promoting sustainable development, and driving Viet Nam's private sector as the most important engine of the national economy.

Among 1,000 pioneering enterprises, at least 15 percent will be women-owned, 20 largest private enterprises are expected to participate in global value chains.
