Hanoi, Oct. 3 -- The nation's GDP in the third quarter is higher than the growth rates of 8.15 percent in the first quarter and 8.81 percent in the second quarter.
In the January-September period, the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector posted a growth rate of 4.02 percent, contributing 5.35 percent to the increase in the total value added of the economy; the industry and construction sector expanded 11.21 percent, contributing 49.62 percent; and the services sector grew 8.96 percent, contributing 45.03 percent.
The Industrial Production Index (IIP) in the third quarter was estimated to increase by 14.8 percent year-on-year. For the first nine months of 2026 as a whole, the IIP expanded 12.3 percent year-on-year.
