Hanoi, May 7 -- Prime Minister Le Minh Hung is set to participate in the 48th ASEAN Summit and related Summits in Cebu, the Philippines from May 7-8 at the invitation of Philippine President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr, Chair of ASEAN in 2026.

In his recent interview with VGP, the Ambassador said, this year, the Philippines is chair of ASEAN and the theme for this year is "Navigating our Future, Together".

During this summit and in other related meetings, three overarching priorities, including peace and security anchor, prosperity corridors and people empowerment, will be discussed.

In addition, the Cebu Protocol to Amend the Charter of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations is expected to be adopted.
