Hanoi, May 2 -- Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang made the above statement on May 1 in reply to a reporter's inquiry regarding Viet Nam's reaction to the U.S. designating the nation as a "Priority Foreign Country" in its annual report on global intellectual property protection and enforcement.

Pham said, intellectual property protection is both a top priority and a consistent policy of Viet Nam, with a view to building a healthy and transparent business environment as well as transforming its growth model with science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as the main driving forces.
