Hanoi, April 2 -- Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang made the above statement at a press briefing in Ha Noi on Thursday.

Pham stated that Viet Nam is closely monitoring the situation in Cuba and believes that Cuba will overcome its current difficulties and challenges.

Viet Nam reaffirms its traditional solidarity and friendship with the brotherly Cuban people and consistently supports resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly calling for the removal of the unilateral embargo against Cuba, she emphasized.
