Hanoi, June 12 -- The CPPI, jointly developed by the World Bank Group and S&P Global Market Intelligence, provides a comparable and data-driven assessment of container port performance worldwide.

The Cai Mep Port Cluster ranked 11th, while Hai Phong Port placed 13th. This marks the second consecutive year that Vietnamese seaports have maintained high rankings in the CPPI.

According to statistics from the Hai Phong Maritime Port Authority, cargo throughput at Hai Phong's seaport system reached more than 50 million tons in the first five months of this year, up 8 percent year-on-year. Container throughput exceeded 36.9 million TEUs, also marking an 8 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
