Jakarta, Oct. 5 -- At the invitation of H.E. Sharon Garin, Secretary of Energy of the Republic of the Philippines and Chair of the ASEAN Energy Ministers' Meeting in 2026, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, will lead the delegation of the ASEAN Secretariat to participate in the 44th Meeting of the ASEAN Energy Ministers (AMEM) and Its Associated Meetings, scheduled to be held in Manila, the Philippines, on 7-8 October 2026. The Meetings will provide an opportunity for ASEAN Energy Ministers to discuss regional and global energy developments, advance cooperation on energy security and the energy transition, and review progress in implementing regional priorities under the ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation (APAEC).
