Jakarta, July 15 -- At the invitation of the Chinese Government, Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Kao Kim Hourn will lead the ASEAN Secretariat's delegation to participate in the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) and High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance, to be held in Shanghai, the People's Republic of China, on 17-18 July 2026.Held under the theme "AI Partnership for a Brighter Future," the conference brings together global leaders to advance dialogue on the future of artificial intelligence and international cooperation in AI governance. Dr. Kao will deliver remarks at the High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance, where he would highlight ASEAN initiatives in shaping the global AI Governance.
