- The newly-appointed Ambassador Clifford Borg-Marks presented his Letter of Credence to the Secretary-General of ASEAN, H.E. Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat today, marking the assumption of his post as the first Ambassador of the Republic of Malta to ASEAN.

Secretary-General Dr. Kao congratulated Ambassador Borg-Marks on his new role and reaffirmed the ASEAN Secretariat's readiness to work closely with him and the Government of Malta to explore opportunities for cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including in trade, investment, digital economy, connectivity, as well as people-to-people and business-to-business ties.
