Jakarta, Oct. 4 -- Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today received a courtesy call from the President, Secretary-General, Treasurer-General and Heads of Delegation of the Veterans Confederation of ASEAN Countries (VECONAC) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, ahead of the 38th VECONAC Executive Board Meeting.

Dr. Kao reaffirmed ASEAN's longstanding engagement with VECONAC as an Entity Associated with ASEAN under Annex 2 of the ASEAN Charter, and commended Cambodia, through the Cambodian Veterans and Pensioner Association, for its leadership as President of VECONAC for 2026.
