Jakarta, Sept. 19 -- Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today attended the Joint Meeting of the 58th ASEAN Economic Ministers (AEM) and the 29th ASEAN Investment Area Council Meeting today in Manila, the Philippines.

This Meeting discussed the implementation of the ASEAN Comprehensive Investment Agreement (ACIA) to further ASEAN investment integration and also held productive engagements with UNESCAP, UNCTAD, and the OECD on various initiatives to enhance ASEAN's competitiveness in attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
