Jakarta, Sept. 19 -- Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today participated in the 24th AEM-ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) Consultation in Manila, the Philippines.

The Meeting discussed ASEAN-BAC's policy recommendations on supply chain and trade facilitation, the digital economy, circular economy and sustainability, as well as its legacy projects. SG Dr. Kao also highlighted the importance of translating ASEAN initiatives, including the upgraded ATIGA, DEFA and ASEAN Single Window, into practical business outcomes, while strengthening ASEAN-BAC's role in supporting implementation and greater business utilisation of ASEAN economic initiatives.
