Jakarta, June 22 -- Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today met with the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP), H.E. Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat. The Meeting focused on further strengthening the ASEAN-ESCAP cooperation across the political-security, economic, and socio-cultural pillars, including support for digital integration, sustainable development, disaster resilience, social protection, active and productive ageing, and the implementation of the forthcoming ASEAN-UN Plan of Action (2026-2030).
