Jakarta, Oct. 23 -- Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, on 23 October 2026, met with Executive Acting Secretary-General of Japan's Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) and Chairman of the ERIA Parliamentary League, H.E. Hagiuda Koichi, in Tokyo, Japan. Both sides took the opportunity to exchange views on the ASEAN-Japan friendship and cooperation. Dr. Kao appreciated the support of the LDP for strengthening Japan's relations with ASEAN, contributing to ASEAN Community-building and upholding ASEAN Centrality and unity.
