APEC Ministers Responsible for Trade (MRT) Meeting, in Suzhou, China. Both sides discussed the ASEAN-Canada economic agenda and were encouraged to work towards a timely and meaningful conclusion of the ASEAN-Canada Free Trade Agreement (ACAFTA) negotiations this year. Dr. Kao also welcomed Canada's continued support for the ASEAN-OECD Programme and expressed ASEAN's readiness to further strengthen cooperation in areas of shared priorities, including sustainable trade, digital economy, and resilient supply chains.
