Jakarta, Oct. 14 -- Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today delivered pre-recorded remarks at the Opening Ceremony of the 11th ASEAN Ministerial Conference on Cybersecurity on 14 October 2026 in Singapore.

In his remarks, SG Dr. Kao highlighted the importance of reinforcing ASEAN's cyber resilience in response to an increasingly complex threat landscape and strengthening its collective voice in shaping the emerging cyber order. He also underscored the importance of deepening practical partnerships with Dialogue Partners, industry and other key stakeholders to translate policy dialogue into practical initiatives that support ASEAN's efforts to build a safe, secure and resilient digital future for the region and beyond.
