Jakarta, Oct. 20 -- Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, delivered pre-recorded remarks at the opening of the Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (CAFEO 44) in Bandung, Indonesia. In his remarks, he highlighted the important role of AFEO in advancing regional cooperation and the engineering profession across ASEAN. SG Dr. Kao underscored the contribution of engineering to ASEAN 2045: Our Shared Future through resilient infrastructure, technological innovation, stronger connectivity, and sustainable development. SG Dr. Kao further called for stronger regional cooperation among engineering communities to address shared challenges and support a more connected, resilient and prosperous ASEAN Community.
