Hanoi, May 7 -- The Sultan warmly congratulated Le upon his election as Prime Minister of Viet Nam, and expressed his desire to work with him to further advance the Viet Nam-Brunei Comprehensive Partnership in a more substantive and effective manner.

He voiced support for Viet Nam to successfully host APEC Year 2027, affirming that Brunei stands ready to cooperate with Viet Nam in areas where both sides have strengths and shared interests.

Amidst the increasingly complex global and regional developments, the Sultan proposed that the two countries should strengthen ties in trade and energy. He took the occasion to invite the Vietnamese Prime Minister to visit Brunei at a convenient time.
