Hanoi, June 3 -- The Government has promulgated Decree No. 196/2026/ND-CP on functions, tasks, powers, and structural organization of the Government Office.

Under the Decree, the Government decided to rename the Viet Nam Government Portal (VGP) as the Government Information and Communications Bureau.

With this new Decree, the Government Office shall comprise 17 units:

1. General Department

2. Department of Law

3. Department of General Economics

4. Department of Industry

5. Department of Agriculture

6. Department of Scientific, Educational, Social, and Cultural Affairs

7. Department of International Relations

8. Department of Internal Affairs

9. Department of Public Service Organization.
