Hanoi, May 19 -- These bridges are part of the capital city's investment plan worth VND55 trillion (around US$2.15 billion) to improve connectivity and reduce traffic congestion by 2027.

Among them, Thuong Cat, Ngoc Hoi, Tu Lien, and Tran Hung Dao bridges are gradually taking shape.

The simultaneous construction of seven new bridges is expected to mark a major step forward in Ha Noi's transport infrastructure, enhancing regional connectivity, easing pressure on existing crossings and opening up new urban development space along both riverbanks.

The Ha Noi People's Committee officially launched component project 2 of the Thuong Cat Bridge and its approach roads on October 8, 2025.
