Jakarta, June 2 -- Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community, Dato' Astanah Abdul Aziz, today met with Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to ASEAN, Khalid Jassim Alyassin, at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat.

They exchanged views on ways and means to further enhance relations between ASEAN and Kuwait, including within the ambit of ASEAN-Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) relations, particularly through the implementation of the Joint Statement of the ASEAN-GCC summits as well as the ASEAN-GCC Framework of Cooperation (2024-2028), which were adopted by the Leaders at the First ASEAN-GCC Summit in October 2023 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
