Hanoi, Sept. 29 -- The Canadian Press ran an article on General Secretary and President To Lam's visit to Canada, highlighting the upgrade of Viet Nam-Canada relations to a Strategic Partnership. The news agency quoted expert Vina Nadjibulla as saying that the two countries "are at a point where the relationship can really go to the next level."

She added that "Viet Nam's direction right now is very similar to what Canada is trying to do, which is to build resilience, diversify partnerships and maximize its own autonomy and role so that it is not squeezed by any great power."
