Jakarta, Sept. 29 -- Secretary-General, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, on 29 September 2026, met with the Hon. Joe Szakacs, Minister for Infrastructure and Transport of South Australia, in Adelaide, Australia, on the sidelines of the Australia-ASEAN Business Forum 2026. The meeting discussed opportunities to strengthen ASEAN-Australia transport cooperation, including enhanced connectivity, sustainable and resilient transport systems, and closer exchange of experiences and best practices. Both sides reaffirmed the importance of transport connectivity in supporting trade, tourism, investment, and stronger people-to-people linkages between ASEAN and Australia.
