Hanoi, July 27 -- The Deputy Prime Minister made the suggestion on July 26 during a working session with the Viet Nam Ao Dai Heritage Club.
Deputy Prime Minister Pham stressed that every member of the club should proudly wear the ao dai as a symbol of Vietnamese women, helping promote the nation's cultural values to international friends and bringing the image of Viet Nam closer to people around the world.
Referring to the preparation of the nomination dossier for UNESCO recognition of the ao dai, the Deputy Prime Minister said this is a task of great significance. It will not only reaffirm the ao dai's position in the nation's cultural life but also elevate the value of Viet Nam's cultural heritage on the international stage.
