India, March 1 -- India's gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection increased to 1.83 lakh crore in February 2026, registering an 8.1% sequential rise, according to official data released on Sunday.
With this, total gross GST revenue for FY26 (till February 28) reached 20.27 lakh crore, reflecting an 8.3% year-on-year growth, indicating sustained revenue buoyancy amid stable economic activity.
Refunds during February stood at 22,595 crore, up 10.2% from the year-ago period. After adjusting for refunds, net GST revenue for the month was x1.61 lakh crore.
Domestic GST collections rose 5.3% to 1.36 lakh crore, while revenue from imports grew at a faster pace of 17.2% to 47,837 crore, signalling strength in cross-border trade activity....
