Nigeria, Sept. 16 -- A delegation from FIFA and CAF has visited Nigeria as the country searches for a way out of the crisis confronting the administration of football.

The visit comes amid growing calls for reforms following a turbulent period for Nigerian football, with the Super Eagles' failure to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the Super Falcons' failure to qualify for next year's World Cup in Brazil adding to concerns over the state of the game.

As the country awaits the outcome of the FIFA/CAF intervention, former Super Eagles defender Ben Iroha has already made his position clear on one possible aspect of the transition; he is not interested in becoming president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
