Nigeria, Aug. 2 -- Team Nigeria continued its impressive athletics campaign at the 2026 Commonwealth Games on Saturday, winning two silver medals through long jumper Ruth Usoro and the men's 4x100m relay team.

The two podium finishes further strengthened Nigeria's position as Africa's highest-ranked nation on the medals table and capped another productive day for the country's athletics team in Glasgow.

Usoro produced one of her best performances of the season to claim silver in the women's long jump.
