Manila, Nov. 3 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is urging Filipinos to draw inspiration from the lives and sacrifices of departed loved ones and the saints, calling on the public to turn the spirit of remembrance into acts of kindness, compassion and service to others.

In his message released Sunday for All Saints' and All Souls' Days, Marcos joined the Catholic faithful and the Filipino nation in observing the solemn occasions as families gather in cemeteries and memorial parks to remember their departed loved ones.

Marcos noted that many families travel great distances to visit cemeteries, pray for their departed loved ones and reunite with relatives.
