Marcos to new PCG flag officers: Lead by example, uphold integrity
Manila, Sept. 1 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Tuesday urged newly promoted Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) flag officers to lead by example and uphold the highest standards of integrity as they take on greater responsibility in protecting the country's maritime interests.
Marcos administered the oath of office to 21 newly promoted PCG flag officers, consisting of one vice admiral, two rear admirals, and 18 commodores, during a ceremony in Malacanang.
Among those who took their oath before the President were Vice Admiral Rommel Supangan, Rear Admiral Jay Tarriela, PCG spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea, and Commodore Noemie Cayabyab, PCG spokesperson.
