Manila, April 13 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. will once again convene the Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT) Committee on Tuesday to assess possible fuel excise tax adjustments amid persistent global oil price volatility.

The meeting follows the effectivity of Republic Act 12316, which authorizes the President to temporarily suspend or reduce excise taxes on petroleum products under emergency conditions.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the administration will announce updates after the meeting.
