Marcos appoints Joey Salceda as PLLO chief
Manila, July 21 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has appointed former Albay representative Joey Salceda as Presidential Legislative Officer with the rank of secretary, Malacanang announced Tuesday.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro confirmed Salceda's appointment during a press briefing at the Palace.
Salceda will head the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO), the Office of the President's principal link to Congress in advancing the administration's legislative agenda.
A veteran economist and lawmaker, Salceda represented Albay in the House of Representatives for several terms and previously served as governor of Albay. He also chaired the House Committee on Ways and Means, where he authored and sponsored key tax reform...
