Manila, April 9 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. called on Filipinos to "live out valor" in their daily lives, urging them to uphold what is right, help others, and make meaningful contributions to nation-building as the country marks Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor) on Thursday.

In his message, Marcos said the commemoration should go beyond remembrance, noting that heroism must be reflected in everyday actions.

"Kaya inaanyayahan ko ang bawat isa na isabuhay ang kagitingan sa bawat tamang desisyon, sa bawat pagtulong sa kapwa, at sa bawat paninindigan sa tama (I invite everyone to live out valor in every right decision, every act of helping others, and every stand for what is right)," he said.
