Manila, June 8 -- Malacanang on Monday assured the government has sufficient funds to support emergency response and relief operations following the magnitude 7.8 earthquake off the coast of Sarangani that triggered tsunami warnings in several parts of Mindanao.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has already directed all concerned agencies to immediately respond to the disaster and assist affected communities.

She added that government funds remain intact to support rescue and relief operations.
