Manila, Aug. 9 -- At least 382,000 people or 110,000 families in eight regions have been affected by the combined effects of the enhanced southwest monsoon (habagat) and tropical cyclones Luis and Maymay, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported Sunday.

In its latest situation report as of 6 a.m., the NDRRMC said the affected families are from Regions I (Ilocos), II (Cagayan), III (Central Luzon), V (Bicol), IX (Zamboanga Peninsuka), Cordillera Administrative Region, Mimaropa and Calabarzon.

The death toll remained at six, while seven injured persons were recorded -- all still subject to validation.
