Manila, April 26 -- The easterlies will continue to bring cloudy skies and rain showers over parts of the country on Sunday.
In its 24-hour forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Caraga, Eastern Samar, and Southern Leyte will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies, or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean that carry moisture toward the country.
The weather bureau warned of possible flash floods or landslides in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Batanes, meanwhile, will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms caused by a frontal system, which may also trigger flooding or landslides.
